His Compassions Never Fail

Lord God, thank you for the promises of this new day. 
Thank you for a clean slate; to love, to learn. 
Thank you for being the God that you say you are.
Your Word sweeps over my soul.  It is the breath of the morning, awakening all in me. 
Your Spirit hovers over all the Earth.
Quiet.
The sun, on the cusp of the horizon, in perfect timing opens up the Heavens to meet the Earth.
Light. 
Your light, Lord.
The world is your footstool.
I rest in assurance that You are God over all. 
My Savior. 
My Lord. 
My Protector.
My hope is in You.

"Because of the Lord's great love we are not consumed,
for his compassions never fail.  They are new every morning;
great is your faithfulness." 
Lamentations 3:22-23

He will carry it on....

I write in my mind all day long, and The Lord keeps saying "put it on paper".
It is time, it is truly time ....

Here I am, sitting 5 years later after beginning this blog page.  All of its entries still in my mind and in my heart.  Do I start over ? Clean slate, new name?  Or do I continue on, holding to the promises I hear echoing in my heart ...be confident in this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion (Phil 1:6).

He began.  He will carry it on to completion.

And so the revival begins.  What an amazing God we serve !

Though the fear of not being good enough may have taken residence a little too long, be encouraged that He will wait for you.  His patience is infinite.  His flame in your heart never goes out. 

And as I move forward I hear him say "For I am the Lord, your God, who takes hold of your right hand and says to you,  Do not fear; I will help you (Isaiah 41:13).

Amen.

Joy

What brings you Joy ??  Take a moment to ponder that ...
I think that Joy is found right inside your own heart - your heart brings you Joy.
How is this so ? 
Answer the question:  What do you love, cherish and protect with all your being ?
That which brings you Joy.
I sat at the ballpark today watching my boys play the sport that they adore - baseball.
Beautiful Fall day, a gift from above.
Such a contentment in my heart.  Sweet sounds of the crack of the bat, the cheering of the
crowd.  Watching them LIVE their Joy and reaping the reward of hard work sown.
Wow !  This is MY life !!  Joy ! 
I look up into that clear blue sky ... where my Joy comes from ... above.
Wishing you that Joy today.

A New Week

Sunday evening - thinking of the new week ahead. 
What is my goal - what do I want to achieve in the open squares ahead ?
When pondering a "goal", many conclude "I could never do this" -
but failure is normal, even essential.  It is the fertile ground from  which
success arises.  Are you going to try ? The important thing is not whether
or not you've made some mistakes or failed but whether you'll let fear
keep you from  trying to achieve your goal.
